Roles
Access rights to the Service Catalog are granted through roles. Below is an overview of settings available in Roles for the Service Catalog:
Setting | Meaning |
Has admin access | Grants access to the user to the service catalog admin pages |
Can create a service | Allows users to create a new service |
Can edit all services | Allows users to edit any service within the service catalog. Typically this role is granted to the Catalog manager |
Is global manager | Grants access to edit reusable content. People with this role can automatically edit all services, create a new service and see all published services in the public UI. |
Is global administrator | Allows users to create and edit templates and make changes to service catalog settings. People with this role can automatically edit all services, create a new service and see all published services in the public UI. |
Can view all published services | This setting influences what users see on the public pages. With this setting, users will always see ALL published services. Without this setting, the configuration within a service is used. |
Can view services in {any} phase XXX | This setting is shown on multiple lines. For each phase a setting is displayed. This setting allows users to see services in admin that have a certain phase. This setting is used to allow users to link services to eachother. |
